So I have the amp installed and wired up but i pulled the headunit to relieze that I have only one pair of rca cables. The headunit is an older JCV unit model number KDLH910. Do I just use y cables or do y adaptors on a set of 4 channel cables? The amp is a PDX 4.100 by Alpine. Thanks for the help

I would get a set of 4 channel rca.s checked out knu's website they have some great ones for a good price.

just run the one set of rcas

that amp can run front and rears with 1 set of rca you just have to use your gain as a fader for the rear...read your owers manual ..there a switch on the front that can be moved in 3 pistions

Either will work the same for you, you just will not have front to rear fade but you can use the amp's gain for rear speakers if you want rear fill, instead of rear-surround:)

Setting this switch to “1/2” will send the signal

at the inputs of CH-1/2 to CH-3/4 of the

PDX-4.100. This eliminates the need for

“Y”-adaptors when using a head unit with

a single pair of pre-amp output.

ah thorm you beat me to it:) I didn't know that amp could run all 4 channels with only 1 set of rcas:thumbupw: Guess you learn something everyday.

My brain hurts just looking at those diagrams. It's late so if anyone sees a problem with either of those, please feel free to chime in!

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.
