Wiring (4) SVC 4ohm subs to 1 OHM.

I have 4 rockford r1 subs running on an american bass xd1000 amp. The guy who did my install for the subs and my old kicker amp said he wired them to 2 OHMs. How do I wire these to 1 OHM to get the most out of the amp?

I know I have to connect all the + and + together and - and - together but i need step through step instructions if possible.

I'm sorry man but connecting + to + and - to - can't really be explained any other way. Don't leave any exposed copper anywhere. Try to avoid needing to use electrical tape. That's really about it. If you need a suggestion: Run 2 8 gauge wires from your amp's + and -. Get 2 distribution blocks that have 1 in and 4 out. Connect all 4 +'s to the distribution block coming from your + terminal of your amp. Then do the exact same thing for your -. Problem solved cleanly.

First instruction - If the guy who did your install says he wired (4) single voice coil 4 ohm subs to a 2 ohm load, NEVER return to that installer.

I was thinking the same thing. I saw only 2 options online to wire my subs and it said 1 OHM and 4 OHM not 2 OHM..then again he does many audio installs and when i asked him where my RCA splitter was in my car he said it was behind my HU. When I couldn't find he then remembered he used a cabe to run 2 amps off of each other he mixed up my system with another..

Just run a peice of 16-14 ga speaker wire from each speaker back to the amp and connect all 4 speakers to the amp. All (4) +'s to the + on the amp, and all (4) -'s to the - on the amp. If the amp has (2) + amd (2) -, connect 2 speakers to each one.

why would you pay someone to do something for you when he has no clue what he is doing? you can't wire four 4ohm svc subs to a final load of 2ohms. you would get better results by throwing that $10 out of the window while driving on the freeway.

He knows what he is doing. He doesn't rememeber every system he puts in.
