Wiring 4 Ohm Subwoofer To Mono Amplifier for 2 Ohms

My question isnt too complicated, I just am not entirely sure how to do this.

I have a Type-Rawr 1242D 12" Subwoofer and a Hifonics BXi 1606D Mono Amplifier.

I know how to wire 2 Ohms on the sub, but do I wire it back to the amp on both +'s/-'s or just 1 +/- ?

Thanks. Wiring it up today.

No, to wire it to 1 ohm, you need a 2-ohm subwoofer.

In my case, mine is a 4 ohm subwoofer and I need to wire it to 2 ohms, but I just dont know for sure how to wire it on the amp, both terminal +'s/-'s or just 1 terminal?

Thanks, but thats not what I was really looking for, lol.

I just need to know how to attach the sub wires on the amp. My amplifier has 2 sub outputs (+/- and another +/-) and Im just not sure if my sub wire (+/-) needs to go on only one amp terminal output or split into both.

Ok so its like this...

Amp

RMS @ 4-Ohm: 1 x 550-Watt

RMS @ 2-Ohm: 1 x 1100-Watt

Type R

RMS Power Range : 50-500 Watts

So you could wire the sub @ 4 ohms briged on the amp.

Its a Alpine Type-R 12" Subwoofer, 4 ohms (wiring to 2 ohms)

And my amp is a Hifonics BXi 1606D Mono amplifier.

If I wire it 2 ohms on my sub, and I 'bridge' it on my amp, does that mean Ill blow it? What does bridging do for me?

But main question is how, lol. Bridging or no at 2 ohms?
