Ok, here is the situation. I have a dual enclosure box , shared chamber, with only one set of speaker terminals installed on it. I want to wire them at 2 ohms to a mono sub. I want to utliize that box without having to install another set of terminals or drill any holes in the box to runs wires out of.
The way i figure I would do it, is splice the two positives of the subs together and in that same splice, another wire then that will go to the positive terminal, and do the same with the negative side. All the wiring would be done inside the box and then I would just have the two wires running out of the box to the amp.
I would be using 12 gauge wire as hoping to make up any loss from the splice.
Is this ok to do since i can't just run 4 wires to the amp? Just want to make sure this wont't short my subs of any performance. it would only be about half a foot maybe from splice to terminals.
::Edit, sorry wrong forum, hope you can still help
