Also stones, your math is a little off. These are single VC 2ohmers. So in parallel a pair would be 4ohms, and three 4ohm resistors wired in parallel would be 1.33ohms
You're right i had the series ohms for the pairs at 8 ohms a peice, it should have been 4.

nooblets math is wrong as well---he states that 2 2svc wired in parallel yields 4 ohms when in fact it yields 1 ohm. his statement would be true if he said 2 subs in series then the 3 pairs in parallel.
