I have two, 2 Ohm DVC subs (TC-9 equivalent) which can do 900W RMS each. I also have 2 amps which are 2 Ohm stable, but not 1 Ohm stable, and each one does 1x500W RMS at 4 Ohms or 1x900W RMS at 2 Ohms.
I want to run each amp at 2 Ohms and get 900W to each sub. Currently, I can only run the sub at 4 Ohms or 1 Ohm using a 2-subs-off-one-amp configuration. 1 Ohm is out of the question since the amps cannot handle that.
Is there a way to link the amps together so they act like 1 amp, so I can use the amps at a 2 Ohm load and get 900W RMS out of each amp to each speaker?
To answer your question before you ask it: I'm an idiot and thought that I could run one 2-Ohm DVC sub off one amp under a 2-Ohm load. Apparently this is not possible: it's either 1 Ohm or 4 Ohms.
