Wiring 2 10'S 4 ohms

Hey i'm about to put my 2 10's in my box they are dual 4 ohms, so i was going to use this diagram off crutchfield to do it, If I hook the subS up this way to get a 2 ohm load like the pic show, and then i run both wires for the speaker box into one chan on the amp with is a mono amp it should stay 2 ohm's right.....lol sorry been out of the game for awhile...not sure if the image will come up right so u might have to copy the link......

If you wire them as in the first diagram and then connect both sets of wires to the same amp channel, you will end up with a 1 ohm load on the amp. If you want 4 ohms as a final load, wire each sub as in the second diagram and then connect each sub to the amp.
