not to bad, need to pull the dust cap off and re solder that wire to the v/c wire under the cap.

The spot that it was soldered to is still there. Can I just solder it onto there without taking anything apart?

shure, be careful not to burn the cone though.

Did a little searching and it seems I need to replace the tinsel itself. Ugh.

The tinsel is split though.

Are you sure I can just solder it back on with no issues?

It's a Rockford Punch HX2 and I'm giving it about 250 watts.

Ok, took a closer look and the lead broke off right at the spot it was welded. Meaning there is no tinsel coming from the cone, just the spot it was welded too.

So what can I do and how do I do it?

like i said, CAREFULY take the dustcap off(i use an exacto knife) and you should see the v/c wires underneith.

it wasnt welded,lol. take off the dust cap if you mess it up just buy another. actually just buy another dust cap when you buy tinsel lead from tim roy,dave moore or woofercooker.

do you have a repair shop near you? it shouldnt cost no more than 20-25 bucks to fix that, mabie even cheaper.
