I have a 2007 chev trailblazer that I put a new H/U in with the interface and everything works, BUT now I will be getting rid of all the Bose speakers and putting in some after market speakers. I know there will have to be some rewireing so I can keep all my chimes. Has Anybody ever done this, If so what all do I need to do ?

yes I will be useing 2 amps, ( 140 watt 4 chan for my doors and a 100 watt 2 chan for my sub )
So yes, you rerun wires from the amps to the speakers. You don't have remove the factory lines, just add new ones. The hardest part will be getting wires to the doors. Once you remove the factory speakers, trace the wires through the boot (that connects wires from the car to the doors. We used a clothes hanger, with speaker wire attached, make out way into the doors.

Any idea what wires I need to use so i can keep my door chimes?..Do I need to run them thru my amps also or just hook them up straight to my speakers ?

no deal on the chimes through the speakers when powered by an amp when using the new HU preouts. if you use a LOC on the speaker outputs from the interface - yes, but at a sacrifice on overall quality and noise. depending on the Class II Data Bus interface you have - you may be able to add a dedicated speaker in the dash.

did you use a PAC interface to make your new HU work? Mine had a chime box. You do not want your chimes going through your new amplified speakers. Also i ran a speaker line off the PAC unit down under my dash to hook up a small speaker to for on star. You want neither of those going through your amplified speakers.

I bought the General Motors Class II data bus interface , So this one little speaker dedicated for chimes does not have to go thru the old bose amp does it I can just unhook the hole thing. Just find what wires are for the chimes and run them to the speakers from the Interface.

i just did a quick search and it says that unit has a built in speaker for the chimes. you dont have to do anything with wires. its already in the interface.
