wired modulator

Hi.

I'm shopping for a wired modulator to connect my MP3 player to the car audio system without auxillary input.

Wired modulator seems like the best option, but I'm having difficulty finding a good one.

Requirements:

automatic antenna-cut off

good sound quality

automatic on/off switch ?

I found some modulators from no-name brands like Xo-Vision, Pyle, Acoustik, etc... but have no idea which are good and which are crap. There also no reviews on the net.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks.

IMO/experience you will get about the same perfomance quality out of any one of the brands you have found (the hard wired kind that plug directly into the antanae input)--(have you tried http://www.partsexpress.com or http://www.crutchfield.com ? ) Modulating a signal to fm bandwidth is going to, by nature, degrade the signal. Preferably find the one that best suits your specific needs/application and go for it. I have used Pyle brand accesories before and had pretty good luck.
