Wired FM Transmitter

Please advise I am looking for one of this to connect mp3 player to the car. Wireless crap is bullshit so I have to go with wired. This is the only one i found so far

what headunit are you running?

Pioneer has an adapter that plugs into the back where the cd changer would plug in, and gives you a L/R rca input.

I think Alpine has something similar.

It's not any cheaper, but its hella better sound quality.

Looks like he's got a stock headunit.

if it was a newer bmw with stock headunit i'd be able to offer a solution.. but yer headunit is so old none of the current products will work with it..

"Wired" FM still isn't that great...you're limited to the receiver's dynamic range...

I don't have stock head unit and its not for bmw, its for 97 toyota with upgraded HU to kenwood (older model but has out for the back and cd changer) so the adapter from cd changer out would be very nice.

Should be able to get a changer bus plug to an RCA plug...check Crutchfield.

Yeah I just found it http://www.crutchfield.com/S-5Aqz9So9V82/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?i=113CAC1AX& kinda expensive for the wire thou. I mean its nothing special what so ever and coast 26$ shipped. Does anybody know if I can make one of those myself? Or like wiring diagram for cd changer out?

You probably could, but the most difficult part would be making the connection to the HU, They use a queer style connector and the pins are so close together. Its not worth the amount of time to do it yourself.
