wired 2 kx2500 and 4 L712's

i just connected two kx2500.1 @ 1ohm and 4 L7D4's

i ran each pair of subs to each amp @ 1 ohm

i connected the positive from the amp to VC#1 then to the + of VC#2 then from VC#2 to VC#1 of sub #2 and then to + of VC#2

well connected everything and i began to turn up the gain (i don't have a dmm) by ear but at 1/4 gain the sub started to make a sound like clapping so i turn everything off.

what could i have done wrong

Get your self a dmm and turn off the bass boost.

bass boost was off freq was a little over 50hz and the gain i got to exactly 1/4 turn when it made the noise

what kind of box? could you tell if all subs were making the noise or was the noise coming out of the port?

the box is 8ft^3 tuned to around 45-50hz but the same box and the same subs pounded an hour before

the grounds are all 1/0 guage to the frame. and how do i check the signal???

Did you play below tuning? The subs could have bottomed out.

the subs are overpowered and bottoming out- been there done that with l7 12s
