Wire?

Same thing (1/0=0/1) and it's a diameter for the sizing, not strand count (because strands arent always the same diameter/gauge as other wires strands)

And platinum is better for conductivity, gold is only used in electronics because it's very stable and doesnt corrode/react, etc like other metals

 
It's the same thing? Really? I was looking at welding wire a few months ago and they had sizes listed by gauge starting at 4/0 ga through 0/4 gauge. The sizes listed were 4/0, 3/0, 2/0, 1/0, #1, #2 and #4 and all were different sizes.

I know a few guys that have bought their wire from these guys instead of spending the extra money on "car audio" power wire.
