Okay i bought this truck and the owner before me had all the speakers wired toa 4-channel amp. I took the amp out and now i want to re-wire the speakers back the way they were. How do i do it? I appreciate any help you guys can give.
i took it out because everyone kept stepping on it because it was too big and would stick out from under the seat, they broke the inputs clean off and now its no good. and i cant afford to buy a new amp.
More than $65 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Small foot print with more power than your HU could offer = more expensive.
The stock wiring is probably still at the speaker locations. You'd need to do a continuity test on a DMM to verify that the wire behind the HU is the same wire you're touching the other end of the DMM to verify that a) the wire is still good and not spliced or damaged and b) to identify which wire belongs to which behind the HU.
The main concern is a. Many cheap installers will use the stock wiring that originally went to the rear speakers and splice the amp into it and splice the front speakers into it (they use the existing run that was for the rear to then power the fronts).
