I have a rockford fosgate 300w RMS, 1000w peak, mono-block amp. I recently upgraded my wiring from 8 gauge up to 4 gauge for my supply and ground cables. After the swap i have an obvious difference in the output from the amp. Quite a bit less. Do i need to re-tune after a wire upgrade? Or any other ideas?
That shouldn't have happened. Check all connections and connectors on the wire. Is all paint scrapped off at contact points? What type of connectors did you use?
And make sure you didn't "bump" any settings on the amp. Guy at work did that the other week and it only took me a few minutes to figure it out luckily.
