wire runs

ok, i have one battery under the hood, and two in teh back. i was told to have two positive and two negative runs from hood batt to back batt since i was pulling more than 3k watts. is it worth it to run a second run? i will be fusing the negative and possitive wires going to the back either way

IIRC...

watts = volts (amperes)

X = 14.4v (350a)

5040w = one run of 1/0

factor in efficiency of the amp (let's say 70% efficient) and you get 3528w

might want someone to go over my math though.

im gettinga 250a alt. with two dekas in the rear. if it was to much of a strain, would my fuses just pop tho? so then i could replace the fuses and know i needed antoher run

Most 1/0 I believe isn't going to be rated at 350a, maybe 300a. And I don't see how you're going to get 5000w out of 350a //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Edit: Nvm, see your efficiency.
