wire question.

i have 4 gauge power wire ran to the back but it wont fit on one my amps its too big.. so at the distro block should i run smaller wire to one and run 4 gauge to the one it fits in? or trim some of the 4 gauge down so it fits. because i do not have any wire around less than 14 gauge.. and 14 gauge wouldnt power 1200 watt max amp for my subs would it? 400 rms..

Just trim some off or get some reducers but, i don't think i have seen reducers, for that size..

you could reduce to 8 gauge or 5 gauge
