Wire Harness Pins

What kind of plug? A molex plug or what? Usually the pins have little wings that stick off to the side. When you slide the pin back into the plug the wings kind of pop out and hold the pin from sliding.

U need to press them in to get the pin out and then expand them back out when u slide the new pin in.

to be honest I am not sure, I don't know much about car audio

but the wire harness that attaches to the car for the head unit?

from the factory not the one you buy...

and it seems to be a lot smaller then the things are you holding....?

Rockman's right... most connector pins are held into the housing with some kind of one-way spring "ears". You have to use some small tool to compress the ears while pulling the pin out backwards. The round ones in his post (that's a wicked closeup) are pretty common, for plugs made by Molex. Anything other than that type is custom made and you'll probably have to replace the whole connector.

ic...

well

I was at radio shack and couldn't find any of the connector pins with the wings, so I am not sure...also I'm having a tough time getting the pins out, haha....

any help for what tool to use?
