wire awg to subs???

i'm running about 1500w @ .6 ohms to my subs and i'm currently upgrading the wire form 12awg to 8awg as we speak. has anyone seen a difference at this low power on a meter or otherwise?

i believe there is no difference.

it's mainly just for looks.

I'm running 8 because I'll be running 2kw @ 0.5 ohms, and I had extra power wire laying around.

according to the bcae wire awg calculator i should gain close to .3 dbs i figure if i gain half that it's worht it since it was cable i just had layin around
