should i take my sub out in the winter when it is cold or does it matter, can i still bump when it is winter time and snowing out

yep, warm it up, it will crack because the cone is plastic

let the sub warm up for about 30 minutes and keep your volume LOW when you are warming up the sub.

It gets freezing cold up here in northern Indiana, and I've never had a problem with damaging a sub. Like others have mentioned, don't hop in your car and start bumping right away when it's 20 degrees outside.

agree. Living in sunny Buffalo NY (where temps drop to 0 or so regularly for 4 months of the year) you'll learn fast to let the car (interior) warm up a lil and wait a few minutes before pumping 1kw+ to your foam or whathaveyou speakers.

Otherwise, you'll be fine.

I live in norcal...and every1 thinks california is always hot...when the fog doesnt come in from san fran, it gets in the mid 20's. i guess i have to worry about this cold shit...****

It also depends on cone material.

Paper,kevlar,CF cones arent as succeptable(sp) to cracking.

ok, maybe it gets to 30 degrees, i said freezing (32) **** well close enough

the record for Phoenix is 122 or 123, it was in 1989
