I know, it is hard to answer direct questions huh? First it was the virus ooooohhhh then that became a non issue so in order to keep depleting the reserves he needed another emergency... let's get in the mix with Ukraine and Russia!!!! It's a win win for Bidden since they have been laundering money through Ukraine. Got to keep mixing it up though so Americans don't start to question anything so let's throw in some conflicts with oil producing countries and stick our nose in there so we have another excuse to scare up oil prices to make some money to give to Ukraine... which can then be filtered back to the Biden's.

I do know a person has the right to refuse a pardon. That would be a weird court decision to have made if a person MUST apply for it first.

I don't know why one would refuse the pardon, but that makes no sense whether you did or didn't apply fo the pardon.

The POTUS doesn't and surely shouldn't have absolute authority. If the POTUS had absolute power, Trump would still residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. And the POTUS shouldn't be allowed to make a sweeping a declaration like this. How would you feel if (and when) Trump just made a sweeping declaration that everybody convicted of Jan 6th violations are free to go without any type of review or at least a pretense of a review of the cases?

I'm still waiting for you to explain what part of Biden's utilization of the SPR was illegal.

You keep talking in every direction BUT answering the question that pertains directly to your claim that he should be jailed for utilizing the SPR.

So I'll repeat the DIRECT QUESTION that I have asked more than several times, but you seem to keep forgetting to answer:
What part of Biden's utilization of the SPR do you consider illegal?

Oops. I meant absolute authority with reference to pardons. He is granted that power (except in the case of impeachment).
He's granted that power under the COTUS, Article II, Section 2, Clause 1, confirmed in the court case Ex parte Garland.

"The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any Subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment."

"In the 1886 case Ex parte Garland, the Court referred to the President’s authority to pardon as unlimited except in cases of impeachment, extending to every offence known to the law and able to be exercised either before legal proceedings are taken, or during their pendency, or after conviction and judgment."

I think it would **** if Trump did that, but it's the rules of the game.
And it would show the true nature of the man. Not that his followers would give a crap...

Good question. It doesn’t seem to limit the number (the court decision even says “unlimited”), just says he has the authority to pardon.

It’s a really old precedent though. I guess it would take a change if the COTUS to remove the authority (?)

You’ve sidestepped the question of what you think is the illegal part of the usage far too many times.

It’s now fully obvious you don’t understand the SPR, the laws behind it, and the president’s authority to utilize it.

You simply have hatred in your heart for Biden and want to be angry with him, even when there is no real basis.

I hope either the USSC or COTUS step up. I have no problem with the low level marijuana users/dealers being released from jail, but IMHO something this sweeping needs to go thru one of the other branches of gov't.
