@Buck

Here comes Crispr. Actual gene editing for the masses. Wonder why the picked sickle cell? Seems like a "loaded" group/disease to pick. Seems like they could have found a better disease to "cure."

They're gonna cure humanity of overpopulation is what they're gonna cure

Ahh so it's too much hassle to up our production and we should continue to line the pockets of other oil producing countries including those who want to kill all Americans. We would be stupid not to huh?
"Too much of a hassle to up our production"?
You think the PRIVATE oil industry is not upping production because it's "too much hassle"? Do you know ANYTHING about the economy or business in general?
Or, do you think our country owns the oil companies?
Indeed, we should be dependent on other countries that way when our government pisses them off or they let loose a bioweapon we can be cut off from necessities, food and other important items we could easily make ourselves in our own country.
You may have answered my question about the economy, and business in general.
It seem you ARE woefully uneducated.
Yes, see above.

I said free speech, not the ability to control stupidity or outburst in public. You may be confused on what free speech means.
Not confused at all. Free speech means you are free to say whatever you wish, whenever you wish. It does NOT mean you are free from consequences should your expression impinge on the rights of others.
"Freedom of speech is a principle that supports the freedom of an individual or a community to articulate their opinions and ideas without fear of retaliation, censorship, or legal sanction."

According to you, a mentally ill person is one who votes for or voted for Trump.
Pretty sure I said stupid or uneducated, but I have no doubt PLENTY of mentally ill people have voted for Trump.

See? We'll get accused of doing nothing but bickering, but this is an example of what you do. You absolutely admitted you formed your opinion without knowledge of the man or any due diligence.
"Pieced together with partial quotes"? Demonstrates a lack of understanding of quotes and how they work.

And this is what you said about the man: "I only know his name because you posted it."
Yet you were able to form the opinion that he did nothing that was attributed to him.
HOW could you think the words could not have come from him without knowing anything about him?
Reminds me a of something said to me by upper management about an idea I presented. This is 100% truthful that it was said to me: "IT has not tried it, but they said it cannot be done." And then I did it, and said "How could they know it can't be done if they never tried?"

No, I don;t make things up, or lie here. You and others hurl the accusation often, but never seem to be able to provide an example when asked. Funny how that works.
You formed an opinion that he could not have said the things he said and did the things he did. That the things were fabricated to make a narrative. An opinion formulated based ONLY on seeing quotes of his words, and info about his affiliations. All of which were 100% factual and true.
It was your OPINION of him and what he did. An incorrect OPINION based on nothing.

Keep trying, kid. But I'm not the only one here who has seen your ways over and over and over.
You are happy to argue, but you argue with circular argument, irrelevant tangents, declarations of your opinion as fact, etc.
I don't "pass anything" of as yours, except what you post here.
If you make several posts in defense of someone, then you are defending them.
You don't get to defend someone with words but then think those words "go away" by saying "I didn't do that".
It's like saying "I thought those documents into a declassified status".
Just like saying the words "I DECLARE bankruptcy" doesn't mean you have declared bankruptcy.
You are so far beyond clueless. You will die alone on this hill Rob. I formed no opinion of him and I never said he did "none of the things you posted" saying he did. I don't know him, I don't know what he has written, I don't know what he has said. All I said was the information YOU posted looked pieced together and incomplete. Which is a tactic the left uses to support a narrative. I refuse to form an opinion of a person based on the posting of a heavily biased person posting partial information. Like it or not, that is reality. You got nothing because I said nothing. That means you are lying and making up things to argue. Stop and move on.

Except that in the context of your post, you were responding to another post about oil production and the US's status as net oil/petro exporter.

If I post "Trump is responsible for inflation," that would be a factual statement. Does that mean I should expect nobody to respond to my post, offer other information, etc?
Seriously, I can respond with a factual statement that needs no further clarification. You could have easily read my response, said to yourself, that is a factual statement and moved on.

"Too much of a hassle to up our production"?
You think the PRIVATE oil industry is not upping production because it's "too much hassle"? Do you know ANYTHING about the economy or business in general?
Or, do you think our country owns the oil companies?
So you didn't answer the questions. Instead you are going to be rude and ask questions as a defense. Are you defending a lack of knowledge or lack of opinions?
You may have answered my question about the economy, and business in general.
It seem you ARE woefully uneducated.
Right. Avoid the questions. That will make you look smarter.
You have the definition italicized... Tell me how this has anything to do with yelling fire, like a jackass, in a crowded theater? These are not the same things and not two examples of free speech.
Pretty sure I said stupid or uneducated, but I have no doubt PLENTY of mentally ill people have voted for Trump.
Exactly my point.

So you didn't answer the questions. Instead you are going to be rude and ask questions as a defense. Are you defending a lack of knowledge or lack of opinions?
You really expect an answer to whether it's "too much of a hassle" for a PRIVATE industry to make a profit?
OK, here's your answer: The fact that you even posit the idea is ridiculous. If you knew anything about business, you would know that business exists to make a profit, and will do what it necessary to make a profit.
There is no "too much of a hassle", though there IS "not enough profit" in doing some things.
Our oil producers produce as much as they can to remain profitable.
Overproduction reduces profit. Business 101.
Here’s my question for you: Do you expect them to reduce profits in order to satisfy your personal desire for a non-world economy?
Right. Avoid the questions. That will make you look smarter.
I look smarter by making an effort to be educated and to know what I'm talking about. Your tangential thoughts do the opposite of making you seem smart.
They just make it seem like you are avoiding the discussion b/c you don’t know what you are talking about.
You have the definition italicized... Tell me how this has anything to do with yelling fire, like a jackass, in a crowded theater? These are not the same things and not two examples of free speech.
You absolutely have the RIGHT to yell fire in a crowded theater. It's constitutionally protected.
That RIGHT does not exempt you from getting in trouble when your act causes a panic and people get hurt, or interrupts the movie in the PRIVATELY OWNED space, or in some way impinges on the rights of others.
Do you have a basic understanding of the COTUS, the rights it protects, and what rights even ARE?
If not, it's a really bad idea for you to argue the subject.
And what you have even said just above strongly suggests you don't really know the basics.

Exactly my point.
That you misunderstood me, or that it is very likely a fact that mentally ill people have voted for Trump?

I don't think they really need some devious mRNA/CRISPR scheme. Look at replacement rates in Japan and South Korea. "Experts" think the same may be happening in China and they Chicom gov't is hiding it. All of the West is following the Japan & South Korea trend. Keep in mind that just like growth compounds, negative population growth is also a geometric trend.

I could have. Is that your expectation on this forum? You expect to respond to other people's posts with what you called "trival shit" and expect no response? You see this thread as a place to just respond to threads with random "trival shit" and the rest of us should avoid responding to your posts?

No, I never expect much of an actual response from you. What I would like and you are incapable of doing is having an actual conversation. One in which people like you don't respond with rudeness, ignore questions and responds with questions in lieu of actual answers.

Pointless to continue as this will continue to go over your head. I am not sure where the confusion locked into your brain that you conflate the dictionary definition of free speech with yelling out loud.
That you misunderstood me, or that it is very likely a fact that mentally ill people have voted for Trump?
That you are about as biased as a person can be.

I responded with a factual statement. Are you calling facts "trivial shit"? Also, when I said "trivial shit" I said including trivial shit as in other post that were TRIVIAL but get argued and argued because certain people think that 100% rate of being correct applies to them no matter what and if it doesn't then they will argue and argue until someone taps out and they claim some kind of weird mental trophy because they made someone so aggravated with nonsense that they let the person have the conversation even when knowing the other person is wrong.

Mind you, I am not attacking you. I am just saying the post I made is factual. Crude oil is not the same thing as Petroleum. I have known for some time that Crude oil is a thing and that the word Petroleum is a word used to describe many things. At 49 years old I have been around the block several times. I am around younger people all the time that learn new things or recently learned of things and they try to "educate" me not considering that a man of 49 years knows things or has known of things for probably longer than they have been alive. Or that people could gather knowledge before the invention of Google.

Me explaining this is trivial. It is hard to get through to people, especially on the internet, when they have the mindset that everyone else is wrong or has to have things explained to them because they assume they are the holders of knowledge. Or that because a word is misspelled, misused, or a comma or quotations are used incorrectly that the person is uneducated, is dumb or has no useful knowledge so they are talked down too.

Precisely. The fact that you would even reference the volume someone is speaking at as having any relevance to do with freedom of speech tells us you don’t understand what freedom of speech is.

Yet you will continue to argue about the topic of freedom of speech, knowing nothing about it.
That’s a terrible stance to be arguing from.
That you are about as biased as a person can be.
Show me a person who you think is not biased, or a person who claims they are not biased, and I will prove you wrong or prove they are a liar. Every single person on this planet is biased. It’s what keeps us alive.

If I was responding to facts, which are not trival shit, then why were you bringing up "trival shit?"

Was there a some reason that you felt you needed to clarify that while we're a net petro exported, we're a net crude importer? Were you were trying to educate us or do you just post random tangential facts for no particular reason?

For the most part I don't correct people's grammer, so I'm not sure why you're bringing that up or why you felt it necessary to add clarification to @Firewalker's original post. Seems like you're just posting a bunch of random stuff and then taking offense that somebody responded to it; creating arguments for argument's sake.
