What misinformation has RFK propagated?

I'll go for the low hanging fruit - MMR vax causes Autism. Watch any of his videos, there full of vax disinformation, unless you're one of the anti-vax faithful who believe any facts, data, studies, etc that contradict the narrative are part of the global conspiracy to exaggerate any harm done by Covid, exaggerate any benefit of the Covid Vax and conceal any harmful side effects of the Vax. And if you're one of the anti-vax true believers then there is no common ground on which to discuss the matter, so the whole "they're afraid to debate the issue" or "let's debate the issue" is a false statement because there can be no debate when the two sides don't exist within the same reality.

I hope this a$$hat is only half as crazy as he's pretending. For a while, I thought Lil' Kim (N. Korean leader not the artist) was just putting on a show and I think for a while he was, but now it seems he may have gone off the deep end. Scary times - Trump may have absconded with nuclear secrets, Don't Know Where I Am Joe is running the show here, Putin seems to be losing it under the pressure of losing a war that was supposed to be a walk in the park, Iran will eventually build a nuke and Kim Jong Un is a donut away from a quadruple bypass.

The only reason they don’t exist in the same reality is because of censorship. Vaccines can and do have negative impacts on people. Anyone concerned about that gets censored or shunned from mainstream debates. I just disagree. If being anti vax is so nuts, then debates should be allowed and the anti vaxxers would be destroyed. But that’s the problem and the concern; the debates and looking into vaccine problems are heavily censored and regulated, which means the argument can’t be made in a mass public type forum, which indicates there’s something to hide. If there’s no problems with any vaccines, then why are anti vaxxers censored? It doesn’t add up. It’s like one of those things you aren’t allowed to question, because when someone does, the vaccines might not look as good for legitimate reasons. But we’re all told vaccines are the future without thorough looks at problems and studies that take into account problems with receiving many vaccines at once, say like a baby would- there’s not many studies on all the vaccines we take together and how all those ingredients can interact with each other, for example. So you could have one vaccine that is completely safe, but when someone is given other vaccines on top of that, it can cause an adjuvant overload or something along those lines. Like when a tiny baby is given tons of vaccines with tons of immune system irritants- they just seem to study individual vaccines and not the entire effect of all vaccinations on say babies, who don’t have a developed immune system anyways. It’s strange, to me.

Censoring falsehoods doesn't help...it provides people more reason to double down...the answer to fake info is the same as for race, gender, whatever speech...more open unadulterated debate not censorship...

IMHO, the reason they don't exist in the same reality is the anti-vax side made up their minds before the vax was even available and didn't look at the studies or data that became available; until the VAERs report became available, they really liked combing thru that data set. I'm fully aware of the side effects of Covid vax, so that info hasn't been censored - the data is on CDC's website. The links to the studies regarding negative side effects are on gov't websites. So I'm being told the gov't is censoring this information, but it's actually the gov't that is providing and disseminating this information. The problem I've had with every anti-vaxxer I've encountered is when presented with the mountains of data showing that the benefits of the vax far outweigh the negative side effects, I'm always told "they" are cooking the books. If that's true than the best we can do is guess and rely on anecdotal evidence and there is no common ground for debate because 1/2 the people you know got f'd up by the vax and nobody I know suffered any adverse effects...

Being Anti-vax is nutty IF one claims that position is rooted in science. Statistically, you're just better off with the vax than the covid. Now that Omicron is the dominate strain, I'd say who cares if you vax. But when Delta was killing people quicker than we could get them in the ground, the vax enjoyed a massive advantage over catching Covid. That's why I say don't censor the anti-vax stuff - just fact check them. That said, if there is one thing that ~35 years of following politics has taught me, it's that FACTS DON'T MATTER!!! When anti-vaxxers are confronted with studies, facts, data & stats that dispute their positions, they just make a hard right down conspiracy lane: I'm only seeing what "they" want me to see, "they" cooked the books (stats), the very fact that there isn't proof of their position just proves that there is a cover up. That's why there is no common ground; not because RFK isn't on youtube.

It’s definitely a complicated subject, but there is definitely censorship and cooked books and limited studies. I disagree that say the US was better off with the vax than without. AND…we’re still inside of the covid MRNA test trials. There’s still going to be covid vax problems popping up as the years go by that are unknown, because they didn’t do those studies. And there were censored studies anti vaxxers read early on with covid shots, including actual doctors with legitimate concerns. You act like anti vaxxers are idiots who don’t understand how to think.

One of the anti vaxxers complaints is that the definition of what a vaccine is keeps changing, as well as what a vaccine does. It’s not fair to lump all vaccines together throughout all time, because now vaccines use very, very different technology with very different implications. The way MRNA covid vaccines work is gene therapy; the companies that made them called them that. But yeah, facts don’t matter because they said all covid vaccines were safe and effective and they don’t have the data to back it up like with how all the other vaccines before this worked. In many ways, you are only seeing what they want you to see, because there was 100% hardcore, gov approved censorship in every facet of the media to target any negative talk above real problems with the vaccines. You can’t debate that because it’s all been proven.

Agreed, the censorship just results in people doubling down and congregating in echo chambers. Not that I think unadultered debate is very useful, but it's still the better option.

No I don't act like Anti-vaxxers are idiot who don't understand how to think. I've never once said or implied anti-vaxxers are stupid or of limited intelligence. It's clear they can think. What I have problem with is the dishonesty. The stats are beyond clear that people fared way better on the vax than without it, there is no way to dispute that - except for "they cooked the books."

Are there legitimate concerns - sure. Will there be unforeseen long term side effects - absolutely. Unfortunately, covid wasn't going to take a break and wait for a 5-10 year trial period. Did gov't officials knowingly lie about efficacy - yep, it's on video. Did some gov't agencies lean on social media outlets to limit and censor vaccine disinformation - absolutely. Did gov't agencies attempt to hide real side effects associated with covid - I haven't seen any evidence of that. Did gov't agencies share VAERS - absolutely. Did gov't agencies share that were negative outcomes - sure did, published right on their websites. So again, you're telling me the gov't is hiding all this negative vax information from me, but they're publishing it on their websites, they reported it to media outlets, etc.

I see all sorts of videos about Covid Vax side effects on Youtube and they remain there because they are factual and not full of lies and mis/disinformation. Others, like RFK'a get pulled because (like a typical politician) he has no problem disseminating disinformation for personal gain. Where are the factually accurate videos Youtube banned? They must be circulating on Twitter, Rumble, Truth Social - let's see them.
