Keep in mind that's "perversion" in the non-pejorative sense. In a purely evolutionary sense "*** for fun" would be "perversion." OTOH, since we evolved in such way that *** is entertaining and creates social bonds, serves as a "hobby," can contribute to a monogamous relationship, etc, so if *** indeed serves purposes outside of reproduction, then it would cease to be a perversion.

I don't recall seeing Thx reference the bible, so perhaps this has nothing to do with a puritanical belief system and just a very narrow view of how/why *** evolved and what purpose it serves our species.

I am not religious and am not speaking in, around or about anything religious. Even if we use it for pleasure that doesn't change the basic principal for ***. Anything done beyond reproduction is a perversion. Now I never said it is a bad thing I am just speaking literally and technically which Rob should have appreciated but his goal is to argue.

Since we get to pick and choose and apply definitions at will, I choose the definition of “perversion” that regards sexuality when talking specifically ABOUT sexuality.

And you have yet to explain the female orgasm that has nothing to do with reproduction (yes, you CLAIMED it causes ovulation, but that claim was handily disproved by documents you shared here).

I've never said it was a choice (for me) and never has been. OTOH at one point you said you chose not to be gay and then came up with this twisted logic about heterosexuality's isn't a choice but homosexuality is a choice and IIRC there were conditions where heterosexuality could be choice. And of course none of this makes sense because if one must actively chose to be gay, then that same person would have to actively chose heterosexuality thus making heterosexuality a choice, but you claim it isn't a choice.

My "non-choice" to be heterosexual has nothing at all do with conceiving children. I'm one of those "perverts" who engages in (hetero) ****** activity for non procreative purposes. As a matter fact most of my sexuality has been with full intent of not conceiving a child and since my vasectomy conceiving children is no longer an option for me, luckily *** still is.

I fear people have gotten hung up on the needing to argue with everyone or taking everything in a negative way. Not all words are negative. Perversion just means in a way other than intended. There is no good or bad implied.

One more problem I have is when people argue because someone used a phrase that they are not familiar with and decide the other person must be stupid or something. You (RobGMN) may use phrases and or terminology in your region that others may not and vice versa. Just because you are unfamiliar with the way someone else may speak doesn't mean they are wrong or stupid but you (RobGMN) sticking to your guns about it makes you ignorant. Ignorant in this case meaning lacking knowledge of something.

Some of the folks I've known has gone the au naturale route, others science kit. And how about this, gay couple adopts kid saving said kid from a life of poverty and probable early demise. Have they not furthered the species even if their own genes are not passed along? Something similar is common in some species where the Alpha female(s) reproduce but all the females take part in child rearing.

The "it takes a village" has zero to do with sexuality...it's an inherited trait passed on through previous generations because it provides an advantage in evolution and species propagation for humans whether those involved are parents or not...there are plenty of species that have found success with zero parental care...so it's a species by species trait...

If you consider homosexuality purely instinct then that would lead to 2 different arguments...one that those genes/traits because they can't naturally passed on, shouldn't be...it's a dead end for our species...

The second by removing the choice in acting on our base urges...essentially means we aren't as enlightened or advanced as we pat ourselves on the back for being...either we accept that we do chose how we act on base urges (whether hetero or homosexual activities) or we're just monkeys with with extravagant toys...those base urges may not be choice to have...indulging or denying them absolutely is...
