If this is such agregious parenting then there should be a punishment against the parents. Or are we telling them it's o.k. to do in private but not in public?

"We" are saying these types of events are not acceptable in public places. What you do in the privacy of your own home has to rise to a different level of unacceptability for society to intrude upon the privacy of your home. Ie, I could give a flying shyt less if you bang your wife while she hangs upside down from a chandelier when you're in privacy of your home - totally unacceptable in public. OTOH, beating your wife senseless is unacceptable anywhere.

Actually yes. Fauci awarded the grant. So the research was funded by Fauci/NIH. EcoHealth did not report the change as they were supposed too. Basically what is said is that the naturally occurring bat virus is not the cause of the COVID-19 but rather the unreported gain of function virus that was generated.
