Nice try. When “y” is at the beginning of a word or syllable, it is a consonant as it has a consonant SOUND (remember you got upset that “sound” was left out?).

Thus, it is not a VOWEL or a vowel SOUND when used in “you” or “you’re”.
You do not ever say “AN you” or “AN you’re”.

It’s almost comical how you keep proving yourself wrong in your desperate attempts to be right.

This is a “You’re wrong again, Thxone” instance.
