People like Rob will try to control or rule people with facts or factual sounding things as when used can show actual bad outcomes to which one can use the fear of said bad outcomes to gain control and or monies.

Then you have religious people who will try to rule or control with unprovable theories. The fear of god, the wrath of god, the fear of death and so on. These fears can be used to gain control and or monies.

Both types of people are doing the same things, using the outcome of fear to control people.
