Sorry, I wasn’t using “you” in the literal sense. More like “you break it, you bought it”. -Applying to anyone who posts a false meme, and anyone who refutes it with facts.

That meme makes me think of preachers who rail against sexuality while they bang hookers and have illegitimate kids, or the anti-gun politicians with a cadre of well-armed guards to protect them.

However, claiming tolerance while being intolerant of bad things - is that a hypocrisy to worry about?
Maybe the Conservative who “loves everyone” as long as they are white, straight, wealthy, Christian, is more of a problem.

I spoke with my direct supervisor yesterday and we touched on gas prices and the economy. Like a true Democrat he jumped into "What's wrong with the economy, it's doing great?" BS. He started talking about the stock market and other numbers... so I said hey, that's fine and well but I am talking about the everyday shit like $8 hamburger, $9 2x4's, and all the every day items people are paying quadruple for. I said the markets are reflecting all the extra money people are dumping into the economy that they can't afford. Then throw this grossly overpriced gas on top of it. His response was, "Well everyone can just drive an electric car". I said that a very noble thought but it doesn't help ANYONE right now. How many people can afford EV's? I ask if they plan to give everyone and EV. His response was "What is this, Socialism?" With a big grin on his face. I said, you want to just make gas unaffordable so nobody can go to work? Or so high priced that people can only buy gas and pay bills and can't afford to go shopping. I said how secure will your job be with no customers? I said if we are to transition to EV's then it needs to be done smartly... you don't just make everyone's source of transportation unobtainable. He had no answer.
