In a shit economy growth slows in certain places, certainly in my area. slow growth leads to less recording fees. We are recording 30% less in revenues under Bidens economy. These graphs of averages are not true for this county.
So even though there is growth overall in the country, YOUR county is not doing well, so that means the COUNTRY is not doing well?

Payroll gets hard to meet because the monies allocated by the state are for daily operations and NOT to cover payrolls. The annual budgets are affected by the performance of EVERY Clerks office annual reporting as well. The only thing that kept us away from mandatory furloughs or layoffs was the fact that we have a good governor that hasn't shrunk the Clerks annual budget
State funds are given only to cover “daily operations”? They don’t consider paying the employees a “daily operation”? So you basically work on commission, and if you don’t make your sales quota, your payroll goes away. Do they approve unfunded budgets each year, and just hope for the best? That’s pretty piss poor management if they do.
Also, dont point your liberal finger at the Clerk being at fault for this. There are 20 circuit courts in Florida. We are one of 4 Clerks offices that report in the black every single year.
What finger did I point other than it being poor business practice to not have the funds to pay your employees? That’s business 101 fer chrissake.
And once again . . NO!!!!! The Clerk is not "contracted" with the county. Its a state appointed government office and the Clerk is a elected position to hold office. The Clerks office is the auditor and watchdog for the ENTIRE county.
Can they just reduce the clerk’s pay if he/she is mismanaging the department? Running out of money to pay government employees is mismanagement, don’t you think?
Can they be fired as an elected official gor doing a poor job?
Miraculously, we didn't face these issues in Trumps economy. Of course everyone and everything took a hit from COVID . . but i even place some of that blame on Biden because it was his promise to end the pandemic and well.... we see how that turned out
Miraculously, the economy completely faltered under Trump. Did you miss the millions of layoffs, store closings, business failures, huge spikes in welfare applications?
But that was probably Biden’s fault, yes? How is it that your department thrived while the rest of the country went in the shitter? Who was buying building permits while construction workers were jobless?
DeSantis pushing back and not closing our economy is really what has helped us.
If that helped do much, why is your county faltering when the metrics of your income are doing well for the country, but not your county?
Remember, we’re talking macroeconomics, not microeconomics.
Looks to me like Florida is trending up in both housing starts and sales of existing homes since Trump. What did Biden do to make your county fail while your state is doing well overall?

In all fairness, I was the one who brought her up. I find it "odd" how closely what Hillary did mirrors what Trump has done, but it was "Hang Hillary" back in 2015, but suddenly there is lots of leeway when it's Trump. I'm sure all the people giving Trump all this latitude did the same for Hillary.
