Hey stupid... remember when you wanted proof that someone who knows car audio uses the same terminology such as multiple outputs on a mono amp. Here, fast forward your way to shame at the 3:00 minute mark and listen.

If he is claiming a monoblock amp has multiple outputs, then he is not someone I would trust to give me any information about car stereos.
Does he talk about "internally bridged" on monoblock amps too?

lol Yeah like Williston Labs isn't respected in the Car Audio world gimme a break. That guy has a stellar rep and it is well earned. He does testing that no one does a lot of it on his own time and money. He also does a ton of giveaways and knows his stuff.

Wow. Just wow Rob. You literally ask for the proof just so you could say no when you get it. What they hell is wrong with you.
Some guy on YouTube is not a proof. Show me a textbook that says it. People on YouTube say aliens and lizard people walk among us. Doesn’t mean shit.

Show me where a guy who designs the circuits says it. Show me a circuit diagram that says it. Show me a textbook that says it.
Both the multiple outputs from a mono amp circuit, and two touching wires being “bridged”.

I could tell you all day long a piston ring is a “split washer”; it doesn’t make it correct.
I can provide plenty of examples where someone says “Cut the light on” or “Cut the switch on.” Plenty of people saying “I seen where he did that.” Repetition of something wrong doesn’t make it correct.

Moving the goalpost yet again huh Rob.

Good afternoon,
‘Hoping you can settle a gentleman’s bet for me. On one of your YouTube videos (cheap amp), you comment that a monoblock amp has multiple “outputs”. I have a few guys saying this is proof that a mono amp has multiple outputs.

For as long as I have tinkered with audio (40+ years), “outputs” of an amp refers to “channels” of amplification, and a mono amp has only ever had one channel, or one “output” no matter how many speaker terminals it has attached to it. I have never scene a circuit diagram for a mono amp that showed more than one final output.

The question: When you use the word “outputs”, are you using it in a technically accurate way, or are you using the term improperly since the standard use of “outputs” with regards to amplification means “channels”?

For a bonus question (not mentioned in your video): Would you consider (or call) the wires inside the amp that are connected to the speaker terminal block “bridged” to make the parallel connection?

Thanks for your time,
Enjoy your videos.

No I’m referring to the terminals allowing multiple connections (for speakers). The positives are together and negatives are together on the monoblocks.

I would not say bridged, I’d say they are paralleled.

It's pretty common to call speaker connections on a amp outputs...you're digging in the weeds to conflating output with channel...

I can tell someone I'm building a pc for in technical terms what does what...or I can use a more easily digested terms to get my point across...every industry is like that from nuclear physics to shoveling horse manure...big words are usually intended for the person saying them feel smart more often than spreading understanding...
