When I am paying for gas at the pump I am not paying the nominal price. I am paying what it cost, not an average, not nominal which "Nominal price is an estimated price that may not actually reflect the real market price of an asset ".
You are the one making comments over and over about vodka. I rarely drink and anyone who drives a vehicle with an internal combustion engine will have to buy gas. I have also stated that you should not quote people when you don't comprehend what you are quoting.

Just like the predictable moron you are you will post a snippet of gas prices consisting of what I am sure are average gas prices for Ga. to wit you will use as your argument for the prices I paid for gas knowing good and god damn well that NOBODY pays an average price for gas and that gas prices vary, sometimes greatly, from city to city, county to county, state to state.

A very SIMPLE explanation of how you can pay an AVERAGE price for something:
A Monster Energy drink is sold in 8 vending machines and/or kiosks throughout a large airport. Prices vary depending on location (yes, it's realistic. I've seen vending machines in the same OFFICE BUILDING offer different prices).
The prices are as follows: $5.50; $5.75; $4.25; $4.45; $6.00; $5.00; $4.30; $4.75.
The AVERAGE price? FIVE DOLLARS. Look at the list. SOMEONE is paying the AVERAGE five dollars if they buy that can of Monster.
When you have pricing that doesn't vary wildly across thousands of individual prices, the average is very likely going to match some or even MANY of those thousands of prices. What also happens is that when all prices change the AVERAGE follows suit.
Are you thinking that for some crazy reason the US gas prices changed all over in order to move the AVERAGE, yet St Mary's Georgia and Yulee Florida prices stayed the same?

Isn't it crazy how close Florida is to the national average? Are you ACTUALLY surprised that there is a gas station somewhere in Florida that is selling gas for that same price? The 8th cheapest gas in Yulee Florida today. The cheapest is $3.26. Only two cents off the Florida AND the US average. I wonder what prices stations #9 through (?) 50 are offering.
