Something clearly happened Jan 6th. Jan 6th was the culmination of an 8 months' long campaign by Trump to discredit his impending loss. He may not have said "go storm the capital my minons." He may not have intended for a roit to take place.

However, if you pile up firewood, then pile on some kindling, then toss some oily rags on the pile, then place a can of gasoline and matches next to the pile, then I say you deserve some blame for the fire even if didn't personally strike the match that started it.

The only things that happened are exactly what the left wanted to happen. Something to endlessly cry about. It did nothing to the government, did nothing to "the vote", it literally is just something to bitch about.

We'll just have to disagree on that point. IMHO, had that crowd caught Pence, Pelosi, AOC, etc, they would have been injured if not killed.

Looks like yet again the GOP fell for another rather obvious DNC trap. The incompetence & impotence of the GOP leadership & followers is beyond words. It's no wonder a guy whose mental faculties are slipping away before our very eyes is still able to run circles around the GOP.

I could have swore the DOJ cleared the officer of any wrong doing. And she wasn't unarmed, I seem to remember video of her breeching a barricaded door with a crowd; he would have shot whoever first breeched the barricade. As a matter of fact the only thing that stopped that hostile crowd was the gunshot. You can't let a "combatant" get within arms reach when you have a firearm. IIRC, at that time Congresscritters (whose lives were being verbally threatened) and VP Pence hadn't been evacuated. If the crowd breeched that barricade, they would have had the opportunity to follow thru on their threats to "Hang Mike Pence."
