The internet has been global since 1991. In 30 years how many times have "other countries" cyber attacked the U.S. just because they could? Suddenly, we need to spend billions upon billions of dollars because "other countries" just happened to attack things that directly affect U.S. citizens... Water - Oil - Meat.

Are we to believe that in 30 years the U.S. government has not known of the potential for cyber attacks and planned accordingly to prevent them? Not over the span of 30 years have they been smart enough to do that but we are to believe that NOW they have suddenly become so smart that we should let the government spend billions upon billions of dollars for cyber security??? Really???

Should the government be making Bill Gates answer for this as over 70% of the WORLDS computers use a Windows based operating system? I bet he uses a Mac.

Just curious where you get your information from? Is it from Newspapers, TV, or magazines? I do believe that the internet and cell phones are destroying our society.

If we all went back to flip phones that were just that, phones then the world would be better place IMO

I'm not saying they are not great inventions and to those who can regulate themselves they are a god sent.
Unfortunately we live in a society that lacks the power to self regulate and people have become so dependent on them that it's really not healthy
If someone or something were to shut down the cellular communications tomorrow and everyone had to go without their phones what do you think would happen?
People would lose their shit.
There is a fine line between that and a heroine junky needing that next fix.
We are way too dependent on them so they become more of a crutch
No one lives their life anymore they just have their face glued to the screen
You have all seen the guy crossing the street while texting or the idiots that still text and drive
So addicted that they risk death to use it

Insane that republicans refuse to back infrastructure plans. That would not only create a massive amounts of jobs that would help the economy but it would fix the massive amounts of problems with today's outdated infrastructure.
