If he'd hung around in that hostile crowd with armed "enemy combatants" surely gunfire would have erupted again. Maybe on some unconscious level Bobby wants a higher body count, or maybe he would have preferred more violence in the hopes that Rittenhouse would have died.
Considering the series of stupid decisions Kyle made that helped contribute to this unfortunate incident, trying to turn himself in was the smartest thing he could have done. When the police apparently shut down that opportunity, getting out of there and turning himself in later makes the most sense. It's not like he went partying or something, he turned himself in ~1 hour later. They didn't need to pictures of him on TV or ask the public for help finding the shooter or anything like that.
This is like the whack criticisms I see leveled at Biden, Trump, etc - there is plenty of legitimate things to criticize, why go way way way out on a limb to fabricate some critique based on fantasy: hatred, unanchored from reality, too much time in the echo chamber, inability or unwillingness to review facts??? It's an odd behavior that I can't comprehend.
