Alpha Damp Sound Deadener

The good and bad from my first experiance with "AlphaDamp Sound Deadener".

Opening the box I was actually surprised. It does have very strong foil, but you have to go by the ratings, and not the picture.

When you look at the pictures on the web site, It looks thick as toast, but in reality it is more like the picture of regular Damplifier

If you look at my pictures from above, it definitely looks like Damplifier.

You must be mistaken, because Alpha Damp is the best sound deadener ever made. This was established before anyone tried it, so you must be doing something wrong.

I will say the foil is thick!! Well not just thick, a convict could make license plates from this stuff.

The first day I worked with it, it was 92 in the garage, and I literally worked each sheet into the strengthening groves in the floor. The next day it was 65 and I used a heat gun to heat the floor before installing and the product to make it more pliable to work it down. I found myself actually using the back of the handle to smooth it down into the channels. Between the floor and the back deck area I have used 12 of the twenty sheets. I am going to use the rest of the sheets to do the inner door skins.

By the way, Lets have a moment of silence for that poor little roller. It is pretty hashed after working this aluminum.

I ordered the carpet, and that is going in soon.

I will make a new post after I have the carpet in place and can test the Temp and the sound.
