WinISD vs BassBox Pro 6 - Different port lengths and port velocities?

Why do these softwares give different values for these. In bassboxpro I have box fill set to none and I modelled my box in both programs with the same ports/volumes/power but both gave different results.

Online port length calculators agree more with winisd, and on a previous box I designed (tuned to 25.5hz) I actually found the tuning frequency by using test tones and checking excursion. The box was designed with winISD and the tuning frequency was correct. I find it hard to believe that the freeware and online calculators get more accurate results than a paid software.

Anyone know why these softwares give different port lengths and port velocities?

i believe BB6 is more accurate, because its algorithms and equations are different that the latter. ive designed and built boxes with BB6 and have had great results. i try to input as much data as possible as well. like the cabin inputs, etc.

 
i prefer BBP but if I can use any software, i'd love the term pak software. reason being is b/c term pak has a feature that shows port air velocity. makes constructing a box dumb-proof b/c you can see that your port has good port velocity or bad.

as said above the reason for the difference is the algorithms that are used, ive used both and have had far better results with BBP6.

I'm just skeptical because winisd worked for me in the past and is backed up by many other port length calculators.

I only just started using BBP6 recently.

The only real concern is the higher wind speed read in winisd compared to BBP. that means if I was getting 23m/s port velocity in winISD I'd actually be getting 18m/s according to BBP6. And my ports are REALLY small (I have 3 they're 1.57"x11.25" each), it's pretty much the reason why I'm building a new box.

 
The formulas for predicting response based on TS parameters haven't changed since the early 1970's as far as I know. If someone has come up with some new formulas I'm sure their research would be noted somewhere. I find either accurate.
