Walling off half a trunk?

I have a 95 suburban.. I use the trunk mainly for carrying around dj equipment but I could do with half the back (I'm willing to take out the third seat)

Do you think this is feasible or even worth it?

I must have the back passenger seats ... Opinions?

I mean it would be a tall wall but I don't know..

Surburbans don't have trunks and you could a C pillar wall
Can you show much an example of a C pillar?

And I know its not a trunk not sure the correct word for it..

all the c pillars i've looked up go all the way to the back though which is what i'm trying to avoid :\

Couldnt you just put it where you would put your "half wall" or whatever? Wouldn't your half wall go all the way back too? It'd be like the same right?

alright here's a really bad drawing of what I mean..

sorry I don't know a whole lot about boxes but I meant leave some space in the back to put a case in the back and two Pa speakers... Edit: (Pa speakers would go on top of case so how the pic looks)

I'm just wondering would the box be good with such a weird length like that?

So what's your question? Just will it work in that part of the car or what?

Lol
Haha im trying to ask if it would be worth walling it even with the small space availability?

yes, it would be worth it if your goal is high bass output with a total loss of rear visibility (use your side mirrors)

the boxes will not be small so you don't need small airspace requirements. you'll have something like 50-60" wide, 50-60" high, and whatever depth is needed to meet the square foot requirements and clear the magnets - probably ~6 cu. ft. per sub after wood and displacement. how you seal the boxes to the sides and top will be up to you, but better seals = more dB.

how you secure the box to the vehicle will be equally important, it should be designed to remain stationary in a head-on collision. it will make carting PA equipment around much safer. when you haul stuff around, it is a potential projectile.

This is what I plan on doing in my vehicle as well. I want to do a wall, but I would really like to have cargo room, I need it more than passenger room lol. I'll be removing my rear seats and attaching the box to the seat bolts, hopefully that's sufficient.
