Windows media Player on VISTA

DOes anyone have issues with Windows media player? I want it to work the way it used to. When I am playing a song and burning a disk it does wierd stuff. Like when I move the mouse across the screen it distorts the song. and sometimes it burns like that on the disk. It did not happen till it did an updat to win 11. I just want my old one back. how can I remove and re-install the old one? did you go to control panel and try to remove the WMP 11 program? I say just download a better media player and burning program

I tried that but the O/S wouldnt allow it to be removed. kept asking permission for the same things over and over.
