No, having the front windshield tinted in 35% doesnt effect night time driving, but what I've noticed in having 5% or darker on the sides does effect making left turns in a intersection because you cant see if anyone is in the crosswalk and sometimes you need to crack the window to make sure no one is crossing so you dont hit them.
I've also upgraded using a HID coversion kit which really helps out alot during night time driving.

**** i dont even think shops around here will tint your windshield becaues its illegal. you can only get like a 6 inch strip on the top of your windshield or something.
