I'm doing some searching for spkr replacement and having a hard time finding some. Thought if someone drove one, they could share.

what year? My buddy has a 99 tahoe (last year of the square body iirc) and it has 6 1/2's (I think they're 7's actually) and 4x10's in the rear panel.

what year?Which spkrs, front or rear? you need to get more specific.

96-99 tahoe's have 6.5's up front

6.5's in the rear doors

and 4x10's in the rear hatch area

The middle speakers are factory amped, front and rear run off the h/u

Tahoe's were made untill 2000, under the tahoe limited name, they came in black only.

'97 4 dr and 6.5" spkrs won't fit in the factory locations in the rear doors, tried that. Also bought some 6.25" spkrs but that won't work either. Even though I made a few baffles, still wouldn't work. The factory spkrs in the rear doors because of their unique shape, which matches the door panel. Up front, I'm in the midst of replacing the factory mids/tweets with a CDT comp set.

I think I just might have found my answer. This link http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/ISEO-rgbtcspd/customcar/showroom/johnson_tahoe.html shows this guy has 6.75" in the rear doors. Perhaps thats what I need.

my buddies tahoe doesn't have speakers in the rear door-weird. Only the front door and rear panels above the back doors
