Window Tint

I plan on getting my windows tinted this week from Tritek Auto in Garland. I want to know what is a good brand of tint. I was thinking Onyx tint because they have a lifetime warranty. I want dark window tine,none of that purple tint.

Please Post Pics of your tint with percentage so i can get a better idea.

is there tint lower than 5% just curious,or do people get 5% because of the "Still Tippin" song.lol

5 is as low as you go, laws are diff from state to state but i just got pulled over and royally ****ed because i'm at 13% upfront and suppose to be 32% at most

One of the forum members tinted mine. He did a great job.

5% is the lowest. Usually if you want darker, they will layer the tint. Like 13% over 13%

I have used onyx and 3m. Both seemed to work good.

BTW, Texas law is...

5" eyebrow @35%

35% on side windows

and unlimited in the back

front windows are 15% and back are 15%and 35%(previous owner). i plan on matching the front windows with the back, doing 35% on the windshield with a 5% brow, and then doing another layer of 15% on the hatch glass.

i have 15% all on my 4 windows and 5 on the back ... law is 35% up front 2 doors and everythign else can be 5%

wait so the law is

front 5" eyebrow = 35%

front sides = 35%

back sides = any

back windshield = any

FORMULA 1 is probably one of the best but usually runs in the $250+ range for a good tint job.

i had a mazda pickup i had 2.5% on the back and 2 side windows...then 15% on the front 2 windows...but here in Pa the tint laws are rediculous they are pulling people over if they have ANY aftermarket tint on their vehicle...so i kept my blazer all stock...not worth the hassle...but that Lumar tint is what i used and never had a problem with turning different colors or bubbling up or anything..i believe they have a lifetime warranty on it as well..

I have the same on my truck...Its lasted quite nicely. Last truck had onyx. Lasted too.

Sorry I drive a reg cab truck I am not use to side back windows.

I think mine is 3M. Im almost positive it is.

I got mine done a 15%



Mine is darker in the back because of the stock window tint inside the glass. I think it was around 35% and then I added 15% on top of it.
