Window seal / weather stripping cleaning?

I have a car that is about 10-11 years old and I'm trying to improve it's appearance. Basically I have a black grout that appears on my windows from being rolled up and down frequently and rubbing against the window seal / weather stripping at both the top and the bottom of the windows.

What is the best way to clean it? Would water do or would something bad happen?

Alcohol will clean it. Then just scrub everything one last time with dish soap.
