What does that mean?

I remember reading about this...something about cancellation.

My subs are facing the rear of my trunk, but the box pretty much takes up the entire trunk and the only pass through to the cabin (in my sedan) are through the holes in the rear deck where the rear speakers used to be.

I know that this means i'm not reaching the potential for my box, but i'm wondering what some possible solutions could be....chop up the rear deck?

Not much you can do other than play with your box location. The automotive environment isnt' exaclty perfect place for audio. Anytime you can eliminate reflections you cut down on the amount of interference you will see. I guess you could always drive with your windows down.
