will XA3000D fry with stock alt?

if i hook up a powerbass XA3000d at .5 ohms will it fry if my car only has a 115 amp alt? i have ben told that this anp is stable at .5 ohms.

While not being familiar with that specific amplifier.....it depends.

Running that much power on a stock electrical system is going to cause severe voltage drop. At best, a voltage protection circuit (if it has one) will kick on. At worst, yes, you could fry it by running it below rated stability with severe voltage drop.

You seriously need to upgrade your electrical system if you plan on running that much power.

ive been around that amp and dont even think about running it @.5ohm on a stock electrical system!!!! that thing is power hungry...new alt then buy two yellow tops then run it @.5

Nothing is free man.

If you want to run big power, you must run a big electrical system to back it. Plain and simple. No way around it.

.35ohms daily on 90amp alty with 2 red tops and dual oawg power wire, big 3 done....

kiss the 90 amp good buy...i need to upgrade soon.........

Yeah definately upgrade your alt and get two new batteries either the yellow tops or two kinetik 2400s.
