that would be fine. if youre worried about distinguishing between the 2 cables, put a ring of colored elect tape on the ends of one of them.

Simple search would have saved you from making this thread. Makes absolutly no difference if you use welding cable for power or ground or for both, Needing two different cables is like replacing muffler bearings or blinker fluid.

I think what he's asking about is how welding wire often comes in two wires, like a spool of 16ga speaker wire. He wants to know if the left side can be used for ground and the right for power. Yes, you can, but be very careful when splitting the insulation between them, you certainly won't want them to short out. It could potentially make the wire tuck a lil easier, as well. Do what the other guy said, mark the ends for later so you don't get confused.
