Will this work?

I have a box that is 1.1cf per chamber for two twelves. It was built for my last car and doesn't fit right in my new car. I am trying to save money because I just moved and money is tight. I want to relocate the subs on the other side of the box and seal the other side back up with fiberglass. Will this cause any resonance problems or pose any durability issues. The box is currently made out of 1" mdf. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Use the cut outs that you will have from the other side and fibreglass them in the old holes, you may also use a peice of wood all the way across the hole as added re-inforcement, it won't cause any issues if you do it right.
