Will this void my waranty?

About to be pushing 2500 watts to a sub, and I'm pretty sure my stock electrical system can't handle that, but it's in a brand new car and i CANNOT void the waranty so I'm pretty sure the big three is out of the question. I know it depends on the car but I was wondering how the average stock electrical system would handle a 2500 watt amp? What would happen? And is there another way to beef up the electrical without voiding the waranty. And the car is an '07 f150 stx single cab.

Really? A new different alternator and battery won't? I've heard they're pretty picky about that stuff. Heard head units have voided warranties before so I cant imagine a custom electrical system not.

yes it can if you put some thing in a car truck, or van that will make some thing fu** up and they can show that. they will not cover it but it should not fu** the truck up just the amp if you try and puch it to hard

Not that I really plan on doing it but what would happen if I did no upgrades at all? I want to have my electrical system running right but don't want to go the distance of the big three. Do I have any other options?

i wouldn't even do the big 3 or upgrade my electrical system. The dealer always blames you for whatever reason just because it looks different than how a stock car looks. They will give you a hard time just because you added 2-3 wires to beef up your electrical system. Although they know that these wires won't harm anything, they would try to go around it by saying you probably unhooked so and so to get acess to the alt/battery, etc.

if it was me, i wouldn't do it if you care about your warranty

I'm not worried about the big three messing anything up I'm worried about somthing completely unrelated to it messing up and them saying sorry you messed with your electrical. Supposidly a guy my dad knew had a system and his engine blew up and his warranty wouldnt cover it bc of his system...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

add a batt or to and you will be find but keep a eye out on the volt if it trys to drope to much then you need to do some thing else

you could add a second battery. If anything happens to your car and for some reason you need to take it to the dealer, i would detatch the second battery before they start pointing fingers

Right. Thats what I'm afraid of. It's not really that I'm worried about the warranty its that my dads paying for the truck and he's very scepticle about putting a system in there and when I'd mention anything about the electrical system he gets mad and says you can't touch it, it will void the warranty. So I'm either looking at a different route than the big 3 or nothing at all...which I don't think is such a good idea
