Will this be enough power?

I ordered 1 jl 12w3v3 will the alpine MRP M450 be enough power?

mono subwoofer car amplifier

220 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (400 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms)

variable low-pass filter (50-200 Hz, 24 dB/octave)

tuned Bass EQ (0-12 dB bass boost at 50 Hz)

or should I get the mrp m500?

If you can afford the m500 then get it. The 450 would probably be fine, but why not go for the bigger one and leave yourself a little room for adjustment.

If it's a SVC 2ohm, then yes, it will wire to 2 ohms.

A Boston G3 would be better than the JL and you can find a better amp for the money than Alpine.

The alpine mrp m500 probably wouldnt have enough power for the 12 re se being 600 watts rms...wouldnt want to underpower it

The box that I will use is 8 5/6" deep, and 1.2 cub ft. It will be in the trunk of a GTO, I will use an mrp m500 amp what will be my best bet for a sub under $200. I really have no clue what to get and wanted to order tonight. I was pretty much set on the 12w3v3 but everyone says I can do much better for the money...
