will the Big 3 be enough for me?

I have my first system now, and my lights dim when the bass hits. I have an 800 watt MA Audio Amp, and a couple 12'' MA Audio subs, running bout 400 watts RMS each. If I were to do the Big 3 would that be enough to solve the problem to the point of where I won't have to buy a new alt. and battery???

Do it and find out. It's not going to hurt anything.

You should include what car you have and how old it is as well as how old the battery is. An old battery should be replaced anyway.

I have a 2002 Monte Carlo, with a stock battery(I think). Could I do the Big 3, and add a more powerfull battery, and not have to get a new alt?

you could also get an optima redtop just to be safe + it will last you a lot longer.
