will rockford fosgate 500.2 beidged to 1000 work with kicker cvr 10.

it depends on what ohm sub you have, your going to need to pull it out and look at the back to see what impedance it is, that is what will determine weather or not it will do it if the ohm load is too low it won't work at all and if it's too high you won't get the power you need, also instead of pulling the sub if you own a dmm set it to ohms and touch it to the speaker inputs and see what it reads.

the subwoofer is.....Size (IN.,CM) 10, 25.0

Impedance (OHMS) 2 or 4 DVC

amp is....75 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohm

150 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms

300 watts RMS x 1 in bridged at 4 ohm

500 watts RMS x 1 bridged at 2 ohm

Right, 2 OR 4 ohms. Which is it? That's the question.

However, since you provided the amp's specs I can tell you what you need to know.

With the amp being bridgeable at 2 ohms it has a lot of flexibility. I didn't know RF made those. Must be OLD old.

If the sub's a dual 4 you can wire it parallel for 2 ohms. That will give you 500w rms so you would want to be careful with bass boost (off) and make sure to set the gain correctly or conservatively.

Wiring (this shows a mono amp, the sub wiring is the same with a 2 ch, just use the bridged terminals on the amp): http://m.seimg.net/product/img/subwoofer_wiring/1_sub_DVC_4_ohm_mono.jpg

With the dual 2 you'd wire the coils in series for 4 ohms. That would give you 300w rms: http://m.seimg.net/product/img/subwoofer_wiring/1_sub_DVC_2_ohm_2ch_bridged.jpg

Ok I'm sure these are newbie questions. I looked at kicker specs an it just says 2 or 4 imp. So how do i figure out which one? An I'm not sure where the bridged terminal is? It has 4 slots to hook speaker wire into. An if its dual 4 I just run the positive to both positive terminals on the sub an both negitives to both negative terminals on sub?

You're in the middle ground on which sub would be better.

I'd probably go with the cvr102 (wired in series for 4) route because that amp is PROBABLY under-rated, and overpowering that sub isn't going to gain you anything.

Plus, bridging at 2 ohms is always more difficult for the amp.

Yes on your wiring, but that's for the cvr104 (wired for 2), not the cvr102.

So I should get 102? An just positive to postive neg. To neg.? An what do you mean by sub won't gain me anything? Will this sun still bang with my amp? And i found one just like mine on eBay rockford fosgate t500.2 old school power

That is not old school. Decent amp though.

Those will do 500 x 1 @ 2 ohm.

So you will want a dual 4 ohm driver if you wanting to run a single woofer. If you want to run a pair of subs then you will want to get single 4 ohm or dual 2 ohm drivers.

Yes as of now I'm just getting one. Is dual 4 ohm drive somethig that i need to buy or the type of cvr? Thank u guys for all your help I'm trying to understand everything

Do plan to upgrade later on by purchasing a second one? If so then you need a dual 2 ohm. If you just want to run a single driver(sub-woofer) then you need a dual 4 ohm.

Well I do have anough to buy 2 of them but the box I gave is pretty small an I didn't think my amp would be able to push 2 cvr an still sound good
The "sound" is more depicted by the enclosure and the settings of the system. 500rms is enough for two, I didn't look to see your enclosure specifications though.

It's a,2 10 inch rectacle box that side in my back seat of my silverado. So if I remember correctly since now I'm buying 2 I need both dual 2 ohm. Will the sub have 2 or 4 connections on it? An I wire it just positive positive negative negative
